aod Tbird-mustang

whats the diffference? and if i got a Mustang AOd what problems would i have putting it into my SC

You will just have to swap the lever,but an aod from a SC has a better od servo.

i have discoved the tailshaft is longer on the mustang and i cant get the drive shaft in my SC now! about 2in is the different

Then it is not a mustang transmission it is a crown vic,towncar or truck.

Dont lincoln mark VIIs's also have the long tailshaft AOD? I can see how someone would see the 5.0 HO motor and think it was from a mustang and sell off the trans as such.

No markVII are fox based chassis, it was likely a crown vic.

And the correct answer is........Crown vick!!! thanks guys yeah the guy thought is was on tbird tranny i talked to him and he went out and found the right one for my car! well lets hope it is haha
