Well, when I found my tranny, 99 Crown Vic, the BA and CA numbers were listed as Police models. So the one I got was AA. I would guess if you stick with the AA you should be fine, but someone else may want to chime in.

exc. Police This one was XW7P-AA

Police, ID XW7P-BA
Police, ID XW7P-CA

The one I bought had the correct speedo gear. I didn't have to change anything there. Just repinned the wiring harness, and put in Tbird TCC, Shift solenoids, and MLPS and it works great.

Nice!! I hope the swap works out for you. One thing I regret not doing while I was in there, the Jmod.

Also, is it coming with the TC? If you still have your stock bird TC and you get one with the new tranny, use the new one.

On a side note, the Crown Vic tranny is soooooo much better than my stocker. Even without jmod it has a really nice firm shift, the cars feels so much better now.

when for a blank trip today...

brought a truck down, saw the tranny, touch it, feel it, and forgot to bring my credit card down nor my checkbook...

paid 60 buck deposit and still have to go down next week to pick it up.

it came with a tc but i have a marauder unit in my car and will reuse that.

just wondered will that tranny go in a trunk of 94 mazda 626?

drove almost 6 hours today for nothing. and the nissan truck i drove is killing my back for long distance driving.

I guess if you don't mind the trunk lid being open the whole way back. Put a pillow on you back and bring the truck just to be on the safe side.

not sure if you installed already or not, but watch out for POLICE and vic/marquis trans have column shift vb's and often police trans are 1" longer like the truck.

above EPC solenoid section

i am unsure how it effects the car if installed with a floor shift....I just know there is a differance and it is only a SEP plate issue, you can obviously block the holes if need be.
