1991 XR7 rear end???

I have a 91 xr7 5.0 with trac lock, i was wondering what stock ratio they are i heard there 2.73's?? i was thinking 3.55 for more get up n go off the line, how much are they runnign for? thanks

It could be 3.08 or 2.73 I would expect the 2.73 from my experience.

In my experience, all the 5.0 cougars I have seen had a 3.08TL rear. I have only ever seen the 2.73 on 5-speed SCs.

I have seen a couple either way. Stock or not I'm not sure.

All the 5.0 MN12s that I've seen with factory traction lok had 3.08s. The one single exception I've seen was a 91' 5.0 Bird from Mexico that had a factory 3.27 traction lok 8.8 rear.
