My shifter is leaking.... ???

Not the transmission, but the shift knob itself...



Its some sort of greasy substance comming from the inside of the device.



Didn't know these things were even lubricated. Has anyone seen this happen before?

Thats the grease they lubricated them that happens when they get hot. All you can do is keep cleaning it up.

Ive had to birds and both of them did/do that.I always rest with my arm on the shifter too.Nothing you can do about it like Alan said.
