ok i was wondering does any one know if i can take the internals form a 8.8 soild rearend from a f150 and put them in the irs 8.8?

8.8 gears are 8.8 gears no matter what car they came out of. The only difference is the side gears for IRS are different than in solid axle cars. The side gears from a solid axle car can be used with a little machining. http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.php?t=86487
