anyone have experience with carbon trac-lok clutches?

My rebuilt trac-lok seems to be working great now that it's broken in. I'm going to swap in an aluminum carrier soon. I was thinking about using the carbon clutches for better durability.

The only experience I have with these is in the 10.25 ring gear trucks. I had to rebuild a couple of those due to chattering and smoked clutches. They used a different setup with belleville springs putting alot of preload on the clutches.

My factory trac-lok clutches are still working great in my buddies F-150 that sees regular abuse. Are the carbon clutches a waste of money with under 400 rwhp?

The carbon clutches are more durable for stock style use. For more power and longevity I suggest an 8 stack of the old style frictions. The carbon's can not be stacked that way because they are too thick.
