Well no i dont think so.A guy a work with builds race fox bodys and he claims the stangs take the 28 spline axel.
Main thing he is looking to do is swap out a 7.5 for the 8.8 in his 86 stang.
But he cant seem to find one from a mustang so i recommended the t-bird as an option.

But can the housing from a Fox bird, cougar,or mark swap over to a fox stang?Axel splines arent an issue it is mainly the straight axel housing we are looking for.
Thanks
Larry

The housings are the same width, and the upper & lower control arlms bolt in the same. The Fox T-Bird has different quad shock backets, and the Lincoln MK VII doesn't have any. The Fox Mustang parts can be swapped over if you swap axles, drums and backing plates. The T-Bird axles are a little longer and use specific drums to match them.

In other words, you probably want to use an IRS rear.

99 cobra had 373 with the ford limited slip and aluminum housing

Mark8 had the aluminum housing.

Your run of the mill tbird has the iron housing.
