Every T-bird and Cougar from 94 to 97. Crown Vics (not the police version) and Grand Marquis, Mustangs... Keep in mind that the newer transmissions will need the harness re-pinned to work correctly, and there is a write-up here on how to do it. It's not too hard.
If you are in need of a new trans and want to keep it stock, then I would go with at least a 99 or newer trans as there have been many updates to the strength of the trans. The 95 was not known to be a strong transmission.
If you plan on adding some performance to it, then talk to Darrin about having one built and grab a converter from Alan.
These are highly engineered precision vehicles, the first step in diagnosing the problem is to strike the suspected offending part sharply and repeatedly with a blunt object, then re-test.
