switching trannys

Couldnt find any secure answers searching the forum, so I figured id risk the flaming and just ask.... lol

I have a 1989 t-bird with a bad tranny.
I have access to a 1990 SC that is being parted out.
Im wondering if its possible to use the tranny from the SC in the 89.
I would use the whole drive train from the tranny back.
What else am i going to need for this?? Computers, cables, etc....Will it work? Should bolt right up correct??
Long term plans are to convert the 89 to a manual. But as a temp fix would this tranny work??

Thanks for any info.

Everything should bolt right in. And yes, that will work great as a temp fix... the SC AOD is better than the V8 AOD.
