Is something wrong besides my memory?

I had the rear of my Mustang on jackstands as I was installing springs and wheels and when tightening lugnuts the opposite wheel would turn with enough pressure on the wrench. I thought a car with posi/lsd could have the wheels tightened with both off the ground. Or is it with one on the ground? Been a while since I have had an auto/lsd. Car is an auto and is in park?

Nope. You need one on the ground with an LSD.
