18" Rims

Im looking at getting a new set of rims to replace my Aluminim 7 spoke Factory wheels. Current size is 215/60/15's (tire size), well I found a set of of rims that are:

Size: 18 x 8.5
Offset: 38mm
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 108/114.3
Bore Dia.: 72.6

I have read that some need a spacer for a 40mm Offset rim, curious if a 38 would need a small spacer... or if they would even bolt to the Wheel Hub. I know the Bolt Pattern is the same as the factory rims, but I dont know what the Bore Dia is.

What kinda problems am I possibly looking at here or if they will even mount to the car?

That SHOULD be a 6.24 backspacing wheel, which likely would be a good backspacing for the width, a gap at the spindle and still in the wheel well.

The bolt pattern is good, the bore is bigger than the Thunderbird, so you would probably want to get hub bore spacers, they make it so much easier to install the wheels.

Obviously you should ask an expert, and fit them prior to buying them, but from the specs those should have clearance on the spindle side, and the wheels should be in the wheel well still.

Awesome, only problem is the rims I found I have only been able to find online. So almost impossible to pre-fit the rims. Maybe I can find some other ones locally with the same sizes & specs & try to see how it fits

If the online seller gaurentees that the wheels are advertised correct with regard to specs then just buy them and be done. I have personally sold many sets of wheels in that spec. for the Tbird/MarkVIII in all the MN12 Generations with no problems of any sort. Tire choice will be key if you don't want rub issues. I would recomend 245-45-18 if you don't want ANY rub issues at all.

I run the exact same spec wheel with no wheel problems. I run a larger tire that will kiss the plastic liner every once in a while, but nothing major. They're actually for sale right now:
