17" Chrome Bullitt Wheels

Were the Dante Designs Chrome Bullitt Thunderbird wheels available in other widths besides the 17x9. Did they make a 17x7 or 17x8 to fit our cars?

I haven't seen an aftermarket replica in our bolt pattern not 9 inches wide. I wanted 8 inch wide ones and never found any.

Back when Dante Designs was making those wheels, they did offer a 17x8". I'm running Polished 17x8's on the front of my XR7, with 17x9's in the rear.

This is a picture of the car from about a year ago. The car has changed a bit, but I'm still running those wheels/tires on the street.

Rod, I didn't remember that you had Bullitt wheels on your car. Looks good.

I just bought a used set of 17x9 chrome bullitt wheels and i love them but they're a bit too wide up front. I thought I had seen 17x8 in that wheel. If you want to sell or trade me those 17x8s let me know.

As Rod replied, Yes Dante Design had a 17X8 option with most all of their Replica wheels. This was 3-4 years ago I believe. They were getting raw blanks and machining, drilling and finishing them. The turnaround was what seemed to be forever...Sorry I am rambling...heh

I just put them on a few weeks ago. There is some rubbing when I make a sharp turn. Pulling into a parking place for example. I haven't looked under the car with the wheels turned to see what's rubbing.

i guess o know where you rub now. it is highly possible the tire rubbing at the wheel well.

mine is running 255/50 tire and it rub in couple place but very minor especially on the back. i kinda round the rear inner fender up and it helps a lot.

what tire size you're running?

17x7 rims

joe,

you can also purchase 17x7 cobra R's at the ford dealership for aroung 800 buck, special order through ford perfomance and they are athentic ford product, if your still looking. They are not aftermarket and the silver looks different from the replica's. there more of a metallic silver.

I've got 17x8 and 18x9 Dante Design Bullit replica's on my 94. I'd like to see come up with a spare of each just in case something happens to the rims at some point. I'm afraid that getting other Bullit replica rims from another company won't totally match what I've got.

You have 18x9 in the back and 17x8 in the front or are these on 2 different 94 cars?

Unless he's been swapping wheels around, it's on the same car. That is the same setup I wanted to run on my car, but polished 18x9's were no longer available when I bought my wheels. Heck, any polished Bullitt's really weren't even available anymore. It took some time to track down a pair of new 17x9's to match the new 17x8's that I already had.

Rod's correct.. they are on the same car. The wheels were purchased around 4 years ago I would guess.

And yes, 17x8 on the front and 18x9 in the rear, one car

Not the best pic, but you get the idea.

Melon great looking car. Never thought about using different diameter wheels front and back.
I have 17x9 on mine but I want to fine a pair of 17x7 or 17x8 to run in the front. Rod, seeing your car at the shootout confirmed my plans for the wheels.
