Rims and tires

Ok here is what I am trying to do I really want to go with some 17x8 0r 17x9 rims I was wondering what kind of back spacing and bolt pattern I should go with, I ccant find the rims I want on the website you guys normally use. But here is the kicker I really want to go with 295 wide tires on the back on the front I will stick with 245 45 r17 I already have 275 40 r17s on the back of my 92 cougar is there a way to do this and can I do this with lowered suspension. I would appreciate any input on this.

Got the only bird with Lambo Doors in Texas!
Thanks Luke!

it all depends on the ratio of the tire as for it rubbing against fenders or frame and such you'll probably need coil over helper air bags. Cudaz101 or Distructor90 might have more insite on that particular size.

Generally in 17", there are no 295 width street tires that would work for your car. 275/40R17 is very common, some companies have 285/40R17. The next step up is 315/35R17. The widest you should put on a 9" wheel would be the 275 or maybe the 285 anyway.

If you go with 18", you could look at 295/35R18, which should go on a 10" wheel.
