wheel bearings

to replace the front wheel bearings do you have to replace the whole hub

1997 4.6L LX SPORT, rollin on 19's

14.5 @ 97mph (need a higher stall, car bogged w/ stock converter + mickeys, lol)

are the mark viii hubs the same as the thunderbird hubs?

Basically... (I think) all the Mark VIII hubs have the ABS rings on them, whereas the T'bird ones may or may not depending on if the T'bird had ABS or not.

i just checked the part numbers for the later tbrd and mark (97 sport vs 98 LSC), both with abs standard, and they were the same....

my mark has a bad hub and the tbird has new ones, but getting swapped to a 4.5 x 5 pattern, so im making the swap!

Cool!!!

Just be careful on the offset of the wheels, my 17 x 8.5's that fit great on my 94 T'bird, rubbed on my 97 LSC. The rear fender area on the Mark VIII goes "inward" vs. the T'bird that actually has a small fender flare.

I ended up with this setup: TSW Kyalami 17 x 8, Cobra brakes, w/245 50 17 Pirelli's:
