Welcome, Aric! Thanks for sharing this info, and I hope it helps everyone with their wheel making decisions!

Great looking wheels. Are the rear tires contacting the rear sway bar in those pictures? It's hard to tell if they are or not. I saw that Aric said that the rear sway bar would need to be moved in about 1/4". How did he go about accomplishing it?

That is a great looking car all around.

lol Thanks JP

Thanks, Rod. Yes, the rear tires are touching in the pictures while the car is in the air.

Aric decided to use a 1/2" wheel spacer on each rear wheel instead of cutting the sway bar. IIRC, without spacers, and when the car is on the ground, the drivers side tire barely cleared the sway bar, but the passenger side tire still touched the sway bar.

Plenty of room now on both sides using the spacers while on the ground, and still keeping the 285 tire inside the wheel well.

So....The wheel specs that are specified require spacers??

There is no reason to use spacers with a 9" wheel front or back with a custom 2pc wheel...I don't get it...I have to be missing something...??

Do you guys have something against lip??

Brad, Not sure why my wheels trouble you so much. I have read your comments elsewhere about my wheels, and I just don't get you. Something I said? I dunno... I am very pleased with the wheels, and would not change a thing.

Have a nice day!

Well that clears it up...

Troubled??? I have no reason to be troubled...

I have never posted anything about you or your wheel setup specifically. If you read something I posted that might have resembled your own project that could be possible but don't put words into my mouth. I asked some simple questions with a lil bit of humor so relax.

If you are going to post up wheel specs you might want to include everything...Like maybe mentioning spacers would help?? I am going to assume that I have not misread anything since you failed to mention the simple inquery that was made.

Have a nice day of your own as well.

Cheers,

This should refresh your memory, Brad:

http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/sho...highlight=boze

I am the one and only person in the entire world that has ever had Boze wheels made for a Mark VIII / T-Bird. They are one of a kind wheels. On top of that, Boze welded my wheel centers. No mistaking that. Give Boze a call and see for your self if you are talking about me.

You don't like the wheels - fine by me - don't look at them.

BTW, You might want to read the specs post again, as it does have allowance for the 1/2" spacer.

Enjoy your day, friend.

I don't need my mind refreshed. I know exactly what I posted and it referred to an unnamed individual. If you took that personal then thats entirely too bad for you. I was about as nice as I could be and only voiced my opinion on a public forum. I would have said the same thing alot eariler on the .org site if I were not banned from there for having too long of a signature.

If you are happy with what you ended up with then that is great and applauded. The car without question is clean and looks OK with the setup. BUT that wheel was never intended to appear that way. If you doubt that then look at the advertised photo of the wheel. Being the wheel nut that I am I just thought it could have been done better and was shocked at your satifsfaction of the finished product. But hey...Too each his own. But I will still feel free to post my opinion from time to time if it could help someone.

Did your builder realize that you can test fit a two piece wheel without welding it???haha...Just push that barrel out a bit more and BOOOM...No need for spacers...I still don't get it....Spacers on a custom 2pc wheel...I am still miffed.

Cheers,

Brad

Brad, Please do not concern yourself with how I had my wheels made. Life is too short...

Peace.
