New Deep Bullits are on in Dallas!

I want to Thank Brad at the Custom Wheel Shop (cudaz101), & his Dad & bro for getting me hooked up with this set of Bullit's for my bird! 18X9 & 18X10 with 245/45ZR18's & 275/40ZR18's. Those Cooper Zeon's are some really sweet tires! Brad has really been great as far as answering any and all of my questions that I may have had along the way.

This was a long thought out process for me as I was undecided on the "right" wheel for my car until I saw what he had offered on a post he had made & I knew that they were the wheel for this car.

I sent plenty of pm's back & forth to Brad to make sure that I fully understood what I was about to get into. He also helped me along the way with my questions on lowering the car.

I got the wheels/tires on Tues afternoon, mounted them up, and couldn't be happier! The car drives like a dream! With the new springs/shocks & tires she handles like a sports car rather than a family car..lol.

I don't have enough posts to put up my own pics yet, I didnt realize that until the other day when I was taking pics & going to post.... Brad said he would host em for me......

Thanks again Brad & family!

You don't need a high post count to post pictures.

Set yourself up a photobucket account, drop the pictures in there and copy the img code into your post.

Yea Pic's please .. I have 10.5's on the back and I think it's just a little to wide for the tucked look I want.. I have the same sized tires. So if you could get a pic from the back to show how much if any they stick out past the fenders on the back that would be great.. Thanks

Ha! I really didn't think about it until I started to send about 50megs worth of photos to Brad! lol

Here we go I think.....let's try this....

Frt left corner, Taken at different aspect ratio.

Rt side, Diff asp. ratio.

Left side full.

Left rear

Cooper Zeon!

Left rear wheel shot

Left side wheel shot

Top down wheel shot

Oh and I found out Brad is correct! It is a good recommendation to use the bag inside of the spring as I have already managed to grab one rear tire with the inner fender. I will have a set ordered up quickly!

Those look great! You can just copy and paste the IMG Code from photobucket into your post and the pictures will appear here. I think the limit is like 10 pictures per post.

I was considering the Cooper Zeon tires before RobertP suggested the Sumo's to me. Both brands are great tires. I didn't know the Coopers had the name molded into the tread until I saw your pictures. Anyway, those rims and your car look great.

Thank you guys! Haha sCrEaMiN BiRd! Actually I have been drooling over your combo since I saw it as I had already had a set ordered with Brad. He told me there was a post with the wheels on a car, turned out it was the same color & all! lol

When I saw these on the site I new these were the ones for this car. I love them!

Trunk Monkey, I have to admit..... I am html "challenged"! I think the site has even made it simplified, more than most boards that I have been on, with the extra tools available to use, I just seem not to be able to work them to my "advantage", if you will, so that the pictures show up...lol, in other words, I'm going to need some simplified instructions here!

Wheels look great.

Kind of off topic Green T but what % tint is that. I have the same color car and I'm thinking about removing the tint and going darker.

Ok, I'll do one for ya.

On the photobucket page there are four image link codes listed.
  • Share URL
  • Direct Link
  • HTML Code
  • IMG Code

Just click on the IMG code it will automatically copy the code to your clip board. Then come back to your post here, right-click on your mouse and select paste. The code will be pasted into your post and you can then just repeat the process for multiple pictures or type text above or below the code to talk about or describe the picture.

Here's the first picture you have linked above.

Hi Joe,

I actually did the same thing with this one, the tint was coming off the back window & had been on the car since 96' or so. I went back with 30% on the fronts & 5% everywhere else. I told the guy limo, but I didn't go with what they call "black out" which I guess you can't see out of or into at all.

These pics were taken on a very grey day (overcast) so it may give it a bit more effect as far as the shade, however overall on a regular day it is very difficult to see into my car from the back or sides, especially at any distance.

I hope this helps.

Those look great I've got regular Bullit's (for lack of better words) and really like the deep dish look. I'll def. consider those as a replacement if something ever happens to my current wheels.

I'm looking at the wheels - what's the finish on them? Are they gray in the middle and chrome on the outside? Or is that just the lighting that makes them appear that way?

The Manufacturer calls it a Charcoal...Pretty light for that color IMO but thats what we are calling it for now. The lip is a Machined lip with no coating (Hate those coatings). The Lip makes the center section of the wheel look lighter than it actually is. Changes in angles with the light reflections from the lip.

I think this photo gives the best showing of the actual color of the centers.

After seeing the multiple angles, I wasn't 100% sure. I'm not sure I'd call it charcoal either. I agree it's too light, looks more gray to me. I really do like them though. If only I can talk myself into rolling the fender If the fronts were 17 and not 18, I'd be sold. I really like the stance on mine - 17x8F, 18x9R - and want to keep it for as long as I can

I rolled my fenders. It's no thang. No paint cracking. I'd like to flare it someday but haven't gathered the nerve to crack the paint yet.

I was just at the dealership this morning getting an oil change on the Fusion. They had a new 09 Mustang GT in the lobby of the service department. It has Chrome 5 spokes on it in 18". There was a normal Mustang outside that had chrome 5 spokes in 17" The GT had Mustang center caps and the other one had Ford center caps. What is on the center caps of your wheels? I would love to get the 18's that I saw today but only if I could put the Ford center caps on them.

Sean

P.S. My 97 is the same color as yours and I have been toying with the idea of adding some gold accents, like the break calipers and some of the engine parts. I really like the pin stripes on yours. Very tasteful.

Thank you all for the responses!

Reset: The center cap has an "R" on it that I believe represents Cobra "R". Anyone may correct me if I am wrong on this because I truly don't know for certain. These are Bullet replicas (which it may represent "replica"), again I truly don't know for certain.

All I know is I liked the wheels when I saw them & knew they would be the ones for this car!

So far locally I've had a lot of great comments on them as well.

And Brad is correct on the color, they look a greyish color one way and silver another way, but either way they look great to me!

Thank you again you all & Brad!
