Help!

Couple of questions guys:

First, I am looking for 255/55 16 General Grabber UHPs. So far, the cheapest i have seen them is $94/tire at tirerack. I have checked numerous other places here on the world wide web and everywhere seemed to be considerably higher than tirerack. I also checked locally at Pepboys and they wanted about $130+/tire. Another thing I should include is that i already checked w/ shipping from tirerack and shipping for all 4 tires is only going to be about $45. Does anybody know of anywhere I can get those tires at a better price?

Second question...I am buying these tires to mount them on a set of crome sport wheels I just recently bought. Anyway, I want chrome valve stems but i dont know what size I need. 7/16'' sounds about right. Anybody know the answer to this?

Thanks everybody in advance
Chad

There is a guy on ebay selling a set of four for $354.00 but wants $93 to ship 'em.

That would save you $22... not a big a savings unless tirerack is offering free shipping.

on the subject of wheels/tires, and to keep from creating another thread...i have one more question. The wheels I have are 96/97 sport wheels (factory ford wheels...not rip offs). I bought them on ebay because they were freshly chromed. However the center caps are aftermarket. They are the flat center cap w/ the bird in the middle, much like the fanblade center caps. My problem is that I have no idea what so ever how I am supposed to get the center caps off the wheels once the wheels are on the car. There is no room to fit a very small flat head screw driver down between the wheel and the center cap, plus I run the risk of scratching the center cap or even worse...the freshly chromed wheel.

Should I try and notch a spot on the center cap w/ a file? If I did that, might that cause the chrome plating to start peeling/cracking?

Please help!
