What rims are these?

Hello,

I was wondering what rims these are, what size, if they are still available, etc. I have the luxury package with the bbs honeycombs and really like that look on the car but would like some bigger ones 17"

http://www.tccoa.com/articles/clipings/tbird1.html
This is the article on the SWB Bird.

If these are no longer available, can anyone think of anyone like this in the stock hub pattern? I've tried searching around, but im not big on the names in the rim world.

Basically I'd like a honeycomb style rim (like bwm has and like my style rims) but in a 17" size and wide enough for a 235-255 tire.

Thanks

Don't know but with the tires it gives a whole new look to the T-Bird. Nice.

I like them. They look like a BBS rim.

Those were either BBS (LS I think) or Ronal ACT, very similar style wheels, both from Germany, both long discontinued ... I'm leaning toward them being Ronals.

I had the Ronals on my 5.0L Mustang race car after I switched it over to 5-lug with Baer brakes. Of course they look a bit different without the full centre cap in place.

The tire the are running does look good on there. I thought they looked like BBS too. They look like the ones I have but a little bigger and deeper and the center.

http://www.coolcats.net/mn12/1996options.html I have the far right rims.

Thanks for the info on Ronal ACT, I'm gona check around on those. The look good with or with out the center. Great looking car too. Love the rocker trim flares.

Added----
http://wayneswheels2000.com/Ronal.html they look like the LS rim here but with more of a lip, hmmm. I also like the R4 on that site. But it looks like they are a 15" quick searching isn't yielding anything else. 17" Honeycomb where are you...

I have that exact article. Drool everytime I see it.

Always liked the wheels. BBS is what they were using I think.
Hard to find these days. Might try Konig in a 3 piece after doing a Mustang swap.
Maybe find some for a Jag, but the backspacing is usually all off on them.

Those are definitely Ronal ACTs. Surprisingly the mesh style looks really good on that car.

You know you might be right on the Ronal. I think I TRIED to find BBS back in the day and could not, probably why it sticks in my head.

Thanks for the replys,

I like that "wrench" in the link Berth posted. As well as the rims.

I have always liked the BMW BBS rims, even before I got my cat. Yeah that mesh fits that car well, maybe its the cars color, stance and the tires. Those Tires seem to change the overall look of the setup. I'd keep my stock wheels if they were the same style and larger, they need cleaned up too.

I just looked at some Konigs and they have some styles I like. http://shopping.netsuite.com/s.nl/c....t.A/id.8973/.f

I really like the mesh/honeycomb/lace style rims for my car since im going more on the personal luxury/touring way then sport/muscle.

Maybe I'll get lucky (doubt it) and a set will turn up at a swap meet
