A 235/60-16 will fit perfectly well.

Here are the 16x7 wheels after I stripped and polished them ... with aluminum disc centers cut from 1/8" aluminum with a bandsaw and using the stock stainless retainer spring riveted on with stainless steel 3/16" pop rivets in a circle.

A fine pair ... ... and whatever you do, Have a Safe Trip!

I'm planing to use the 16" Thunderbird SC wheels with 225/60 tires on my '93 Cougar XR7.
Do they fit without body modifications ?
Can I use the same fixing bolts ?

Yes they work fine with that tire. You can use the same lug nuts.

Fan blade rims

'CrystalPistol'

Looks good! Wish I could come across a set of those for my Cougar.
Do you or anybody know if the T-Bird fan blade wheels look good on a Cougar.
I was wondering because I would like to buy these from the PULL A PART up here but have not seen them on a cougar before.
If anybody has a link or pictures please let me know.

Thanks!

I have these on my '96 Cougar with no issues and looks awesome... they were designed for these cars, so why would there be issues?

Nice looking rims

I love my V8, but I'd love it more if all 8 cylinders worked. (they do now)

My T-bird is like George Jetson's wife, you try to give her a little money, she takes the whole wallet.

I have the 89/90 SC wheels on my 96 Tbird with 255/50ZR/16 BF-Goodrich G-Sports and no rubbing issues at all. The car really handles and have a TON of traction. BTW they are 11 inches wide.

I will try and post a pic in the next couple of days.
