For what its worth, while they aren't the cheapest tires out there, the Falken Ziex is a great performing tire, with a good ride, and they are pretty cheap compared to their competition. The only downside to them is that they wear out real quick, but it sounds like that wouldn't be a problem for you. With that being said, I would tend to agree with 94DD that if the tires look good and have good tread, and there are no dry-rot cracks, then you're better off to leave them alone.
