Question Polycast road wheels 1984

I will be putting the first set of tires on my 1984 Cougar LS this Friday and have a question about the wheels. This car has the Polycast wheels and it appears to have beauty trim rings around the edge of the wheel. I am not sure if these are permanently attached to the wheel or are these just like regular trim rings and can pop off if pryed on?

It's not the destination, it's the journey.

I was able to get the new tires put on today. Those are trim rings that pop off. Luckily one of the techs at the tire shop had seen these before and knew how to take them off.

The new tires are Falken Sincera Touring SN211 205 70R 14 white stripe all season radials. So far the ride is great with the new tires! I drove it out of town to a nice little straight stretch and let 'er go! Talk about a smooth ride!!!

On an 84 Coug...... that's fine by me. I had a black 84 with whitewalls and it looked good. There's nothing like the feeling of a new set of sneakers on a car.
