Thinking about doing this...Opinions?

What do you guys think?
I had little curb rash on one of the rims so i am going to have that fixed!
Figured since i am doing this i should paint the lips orange to match?

Whats everyones opinion on this?

It does not necessary mean i will do it but I am considering it!

You mean they're not orange already?

In other words that looks so right, that I can't believe it's not already done up that way....god damn that car is stunning. By the way, you have an all black interior, right? Any pictures? You dyed the dash, doors, etc. etc.? Details?

That look is way to gimmicky. You may as well get it repainted in a flat finish and stick portholes on the fenders.

Nah, I think the chrome helps break things up a bit and make it more interesting to look at.

The deep chrome lip makes the car, breaks it up just enough. Orange on those wheels would be a sin.

Mickey...Mickey...Mickey....

To be short...Hell No to the orange lip.

Since you are doing a repair I think a Brushed lip would look killer since there is so much lip there it would really POP, but in a subtle way.

Lets keep in mind also that road dubre, sand, rocks, etc..get caught in those centers and will pepper the paint finish in time and if its a big enough pebble/rock it could do lots of damage with that big of a lip surface. Think about it...

well IMHO.... if you are going to get it done in orange.... do this.......... instead make the outer lip gloss black again but have the name of the wheel in orange like an accent kinda like what lexani does on the outer lip for accents of the higherend wheels...... for instance like this here http://www.betrueatl.com/Events/2010...19_oKycv-M.jpg but in orange, that would look hot... or do a reverse color... orange lip black accent

The orange lips are interesting and make the car look a bit more like a custom, whereas the machined lips make it look more like a race car. Its your call, but if it were mine I'd stick with chrome or brushed aluminum finish.

personally i think that its just another step in the wrong direction. I think you should go back a few steps, back to the chrome wheels. Everyone does black wheels these days it seems like, and in my opinion its just boring. I like nice clean simple wheels.

I think your car use to look more fancy and expensive with the chrome wheels.
With the orange on the wheels it gives it more of a toy, hot wheels feeling to me.

You shouldn't of changed a thing, it use to be one of my favorites.
