Only visually, the 450's don't have as agressive of a sidewall as the 555 or INVO. However they grip exceptionally well. The 450's are also technically a M/S (mud/snow) High Performance Directional tire I'll be testing the M/S ability later this month. The INVO's are HORRIBLE in the snow. They all seem about the same in the rain and dry traction. INVO's, 555's, and 450's all are fairly quiet tires on most asphalt surfaces. However the INVO's SCREAM/HOWL on old concrete highways, the directional 450's and 555's make no such noises.
I chose INVO's years ago because I planned to rotate them, however they wore as I expected and required no rotations with my alignment specs. Now with two different directionals is be able to rotate forward/backward only instead of modified X as is preferred. No regrets. I may eventually switch to 450's on the front as well, but currently I'm satisfied.
Price wise they are all pretty close. INVO's are neat looking but required 40+ psi to avoid excessive sidewall flex. At 35 psi I feel none of that on the 450's or 555's. Also 450's are likely going to wear about the same as the 555's on the front with my tire barking shifts.
In order of soft to firm it is NT05's, 555R, INVO, 555, and 450.
I hope I've been helpful in your decision making process. Let me know what you end up with and don't forget to trim the excess material off of the upper control arm ball joint under the spindle to avoid rubbing.
