Particular question.

Okay, what are the widest tires/rims that came on mercurys/fords? i want to get a set of wider tires but I want OEM rims. examples for an answer would be like so, 97 Grand Marquis wheels. pictures of the rim style would be greatly appreciated.

In your bolt pattern? If so you're limited to Tauruses, Lincoln LSs, newer focuses and a few others. None of which will be any wider than stock 16x7" sport wheels. Widest OEM(and aftermarket)wheels are in the Mustang bolt pattern.

Jaguar and volvo offer bigger wheels, dunno about wider.

I like the 2011 Volvo C70 18" wheels. Offset is probably not right though..

so 97 sport rims are my best choice? I have the Geo's, so I assume there's not that much difference?

Hmmm, that's a half inch I don't have so I'll be getting those when the time for new wheels comes... Has anybody ever painted the geo wheels? I'm not really thinking about doing it I'm just curious as to how they look.
