I got some skinnies for my bird and am happy. I picked up a extra steel doughnut. I replaced the tires with a 165 80 R 15 tires. I hope that it help in the quater mile. DO NOT RACE ON THE TEMPORY TIRES EVER unless you want to crash and die due to a blow out.
I know some people (Mike V's BullittBird for one) run the skinnies, but how much difference do they make?

Well, with about 50 lbs of air in the front tires, they offer less rolling resistance, I had them on my Mustang, but didn't notice too much difference from running slicks and factory tires in the front, but every 100th of a second is that much faster.
