New thunderbird 17" spare FITS!!!!

Well I got the spare today, and its brand new. Picked it up for $75 shipped of Ebay. I jacked the car up, took off the cobra rim, and slapped on the 2001 Thunderbird spare. NO spacer needed, and it CLEARS the BAER 13" brake kit. One thing, does anyone know if the new thunderbirds use conical lug nuts like ours...or if they differ? Chris

Will have pictures tonight. Chris

PS...my stock spare if for sale now....

One thing...it doesn't quite fit in the spare wheel well. So the cover wont work but ohh well...forget that. I think I will just knife a spare wheel cover from a crown vic/grand marquis to cover things up.

PICTURES AS SOON AS I GET HOME.....1 hour and counting

Good deal! I'll keep that in mind when brake upgrades come along one day.

same bolt pattern, but you will need to buy the lug nuts for the 2001 thunderbird to use the spare. Chris
