Thumbs up Redrilling Rims 5lug to 4lug & Machine Shop

Anyone ever had Rims redrilled from the 5lug Mustang pattern to the 4lug pattern for my Cougar. The rims are the 98 Mustang GT split 5stars and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of or had this done? If so where as far as was it a Machine Shop? The cost involved? Didn't want to do the bigger brake swap over or rotor and axle swap.

Let me know what you guys think

I don't think it would a good idea since you can find those wheels made for your pattern. IMHO, better safe than sorry.

I buy my OEM Ford parts at 10% over dealer cost from Steve in White Bear Lake, MN.

If you know of a dealer that has the wheels in the 4 lug pattern since I have only seen them in the 5lug pattern let me know.

Thanks

I'm a machinist.

I can't drill them for you because my workplace is pretty anal about "projects"

But it's not a big deal at all to drill another hole pattern.

The thing that I would be concerned about is weakening the wheel.

Mostly stock...

For now...
