275 width is a bit large on the front for most people.

You need 5 on 108 pattern, not 4.

Try a search on the topic to see what various people are running, lots to choose from.

245-45-17 front and 275-40-17 rear is a common staggered combo. Those sizes are approx. 1" smaller in diameter than original, so if the car isn't lowered, then the fender gap ends up looking pretty huge.

got ya. i have seen some people running 18x9's all the way around. did these require any modifications or did they bolt right up. how would the fender gap be with 17/18 inch wheels and the car lowered 1.5 inches?

my bad.

4 18x9 Cobra R wheels, chrome finish, 5x108 mm
2 275/40/18 for the rear
2 245/40/18 for the front

if theres a fitment issue i can drop to 17's. think they would dress the cougar up?

Try 245-45-18 for the front instead, then the rolling diameter will match the 275-40-18 rears, and also be very close to original tire diameter.
