Comp T/A or Scorcher T/A

I'm getting a set of 245/50/17 tires.

I have narrowed it down to two tires, let me know what you guys think.

The car is a strictly summer car, so i don't need the all season.

The comp t/a seems to be a all season tire for somebodies camaro. They are 99 bucks a pop.

The scorcher t/a is 106 a pop. No, i'm not getting the blue tires, or the yellow tires, just the black ones

Click this amazingly long link for the comparision.

honesty, I wouldn't get either, but between those two, I'd get the scorcher.

Based on the tread design and the low number of miles reported. I am going to say the Scorcher's hydro resistance is VERY inflated. I could be wrong. But I will bet I'm not. In fact, look at the numbers for the red scorchers, they are much lower and the tire is going to be exactly the same in its characteristics. The other two colors don't even have enough mile reported to get a chart.

Wow, not much availiable in that size is there. I'd definitely go with the Comp T/A's though of those two. Its a big step up in price for anything else tire rack has in that exact size though. Of course you are probably getting a much better tire with most of them though. For example, the SP5000 Dunlop is the next more expensive. It has a higher speed rating and beats the Comp T/A in every category. Both even have about the same number of miles reported.

I'm really happy with the Comp T/A I have on both my cars.
