Question 255/45-18 too big?

I think it will be o.k. but I'm starting to think I'll rub in frount if I lower the car. I want to keep the stock wheel hight but go wider mainly in back.

mods:
2300 stall torque converter, trans cooler, home made cat back with a hooker arrow chamber acts as a resonator too 3inch modular bent to axle and 2 1/2 modular bent too two 3 chamber flowmasters, home made ram air with k&n made with the extra exhaust

I have that size all around on my car, mounted on 8-1/2" wheels, +35 offset. Bit of rubbing on the rear until we trimmed the fender lips.

What about 255x45x18 with +40 offset rim on a 94SC, will they rub?

Ed, i'm sure you know why i'm asking

Cheers,
Luke

Luke, those should be fine. On the 8" wheels, you may want to consider a 245 width tire instead though, 8" is the minimum rim width for most 255-45 tires, some brands even recommend an 8-1/2" as minimum.

cheers,
Ed N.

Thanks Ed, I'll take those notes into consideration.
