I think it will be o.k. but I'm starting to think I'll rub in frount if I lower the car. I want to keep the stock wheel hight but go wider mainly in back.

Luke, those should be fine. On the 8" wheels, you may want to consider a 245 width tire instead though, 8" is the minimum rim width for most 255-45 tires, some brands even recommend an 8-1/2" as minimum.
