Thunderbird fiberglass doors...

Anyone have any first hand experience with these? They are priced over a grand for the pair, not hateful to think about it for their purpose, but of the fit isn't there or if they only happen to shave nominal weight, or if they just don't hold up they may not be work it.

I'd be curious if there is a decent weight savings and if all door trim and other components bolt up and if there is a bar to add for side impact on street cars - though this is likely a "strictly" track product.

I'd be curious to hear any feedback.

It is strictly a track product, the doors lack any support from a side impact.

So it's technically risky to run them unless its a track star or trailer queen.

Not saying that you CAN'T run them, it's just ill advised.

Wow, that was posted by Siska... he's still running, but I spoke with him recently and he told me he isn't spending much time on the boards these days.

Okay, good to know. I stumbled on them looking for something else and hadn't seen them before. Thanks for the info guys.
