Need underbody neon info and pics

I've been contemplating putting neons under the car for a while. I've been looking under and don't really see any place where I could mount them and not have them smashed when the car is jacked up. I hope someone has some pics of them mounted underneath. I'm also looking for pics of interior neon designs. thanx

if your gonna get neons, make sure you get Streetglow neons. I had other crap, liteglow and tropical neon both broke within days of purchase...

If you're gonna get underbody's, I highly recommend you get a body kit first. Not only will it protect and hide the neons, it'll make your car look sexy.

Neons

streetglow has the best. As far as their underbody neons id go w/ gold series b/c they have a better build and r better warrantied. Blue line break to quick and r known to leak and warranty dont cover much. I cant tell u where to mount them, mine where mounted a couple inches from the door and the gfx's made it so u couldnt see em during the day.

I'm not positive about this, but I think they're Illegal in Massachusetts.

illegal

underbody neons are illegal to drive w/ on in most states. Other states will let u have em on as long as its not red or blue.

Hey Liz,

You're in CA. Which is it for us? Illegal whilst driving or only illegal if red or blue?

this is where i originally had it. but i later zip tied it to the black plastic on the underside of my front bumper

here its at a slight angle b/c the underside isn't totally even

its a PITA to drill here b/c the metal is damn tough. i broke a bit trying to drill these holes.

heres my switch. i wouldve got the button to replace my coin holder but it was like $20 compared to $2.

i agree with getting a body kit or at least side skirts. my sides neons can be seen very easily.

as for the neons being illegal, they are if the car is in motion. but i also heard that its legal as long as you cant see the tube itself. ive followed/been followed by cops, state troopers, etc. and never been pulled over. just dont drive like an idiot.

Lightbulb neons

My guages were not colored by bulbs, i painted the actual gauges themselves from behind. Im not sure about the neons in cali but so far the cops pull u over for EVERYTHING lol. I think sometimes it depends on the cop. $20 for a switch??? i fit 2 in one slot for each lol. My old set up had 4 in the dash and a re-located OD switch cuz of my aftermarket **** knob.
