side

hey all i have a 96 bird and there is things on the side towards the back wheen that stick and click on, my dad wanted me to take it off to see what was under it, and now it wont stay all the way on, should i take it off and keep it off or what can i do to get it to stay on thanks for any help

Bubbasags, I checked your pics on cardomain, and really can't tell what you are referring to. Bodyside moldings?

Maybe write a bit slower so we can understand.

i aint got photoshop on this puter to show ya, but ya know how that indentation thing is on the 96 & 97's? well right in front of the back tire on th well is two screws to take off that little part, i dont know how to get the rest off, but should i take them all off and just fill holes accordingly or ya all still dont know what im talking bout

My guess is that you're talking about the side moldings. If so, you'd have to fill some holes and paint over them, and then the sides won't match the grooves in the bumpers anymore.

oh i know what he's talking about.. in front of the rear tire in the wheel well, there's screws holding on some side molding (the molding that makes our doors bulge out.. unlike the earler models which are just "flat" doors)..

i suggest leaving it on, because it gives our birds a nicer look

at least this is what i think he's talking about.

yea thats what im talking bout, mine dont go on all the way, i was kinda thinkin of just takin them off and not worryin bout the front and rear bumper havin that groove, but then i thought a little but i still dunno yet, but oh well, heh thanks anyways guys

you realize you'd have to repaint your doors then.. if it is painted under there, odds are the color won't match due to the top half of the door fading.. if it's not painted, you'll still have to get it painted.

im repainting the WHOLE car, and its gonna be a different color, im not just repainting that part, thats why im wondering what i should do before i paint it, im still in the process of sanding it now tho
