Exclamation Painting Exterior Trim

Is it possible to paint the black/grey fade around the side mirrors and the black bar that travels between the doors and the quarter windows the same color as your car? Would it look right? Prep?

Cant even see that mn12xr7. Too dark.

Work needed to be done: Heater Core Replaced; Driver Door panel replaced; Right Inner tie rod replaced; Front suspension rotting away; Wire connection to the transmission melted from contact with exhaust.

as far as prep goes, sand with 600/800, or grey scotchbrite. clean, base, then clear. it'll look like it came that way. I didnt do the black window channel, but I did do the mirrors on mine, and it looks a lot better all the same color. If you want them painted for you, just lemme know.
