Removing Yellow Glue From Headlamps

I'm trying to give my headlamps a super clean. I removed the lens and cleaned it. Though I can't get the yellow silicone/glue off the main unit. I tried to use a razor and that didn't even work well. I'm thinking of just layering up the clear silicone when I put the lense back on as it may dim the yellow glue.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove this yellow silicone/glue?

Thanks in advance.

no only way is to scrap that yellow gunk off. you did break the seal so that glue is kinda messed up and re-sealing it with clear silicone OVER it could be a bad idea. i did that cuz i was lazy and just painted over the yellow glue then added the silicone and thought that would be ok then it started fogging up inside the housing. i know its a crappy task but it has to be done. dont use a razor but try using a very flat head screwdriver to scrap it off that way. worked for me.
