Talking Eleanor-tbird crossover

I have always loved the '67 GT500. But "Eleanor" has captured my imagination for many years. "Sigh" I know that owning such a ride will never happen... it's just isn't in the budget...ever.
Over the years I have played around with a few Mustangs but didn't care for them as much as the Thunderbirds. The tbirds seem to always better body lines and deeper thought into thier designs. I started a 1983 Tbird a few years ago and had used the GT 500 as my inspiration. i had the hood scoop, side scoops and even filled in the small side windows for the upper scoops to be installed. But alas she was stolen ans hasn't been seen since. Last week I picked up a nice 1992 LX Tbird 3.8l for 150.00! it's all intact and I was planning to revive my project on this newer platform. I've looked for days for a body kit but there all the same and frankly kinda boring. Does anyone know of an off the wall kit for this car and does anyone have any ideas to contribute to this project?
So far I've found the Eleanor hood scoop and may try to intergrate GT500 side scoops to it. Anyone know where I can find side skirts with the exhaust tips? will the Mustang side skirts work? Any help would be very helpful. drop me a line at:

Thanks, Greg

if you want something wild, the aeroform is the way to go. the andy's autosport is riceish if you want that look, but only works on the 94/95 tbird.

There are no side skirts with a side-exit exhaust. But you can just cut out a notch in any side skirt to make it work. That's what I'll be doing with my exhaust after I get my engine in and running.

Aaargh! seems like i bought the wrong year tbird! all the body kits look the same except the one from aeroform. but it's too high and it takes away from the body lines of the car. i would love to find like a stalker air dam... i like the large driving light pockets it has... guess there's no chance in that. thanks 8ate8 for the links and to everyone who has posted.
so does anyone have any off the wall ideas for a '92 tbird? it's a silver blue and i will probably stay with this color because it's not in the budget to do more than lay a fresh coat over it.

No, you bought the wrong kind of car if you're wanting to slap on outrageous body kits. The MN12 platform isn't meant to be riced Go buy a dime-a-dozen stang or civic

MN12 stands for - Midsize North America Project #12

all 89-97 thunderbirds and cougars are MN12s

And please dont make a fake elanor if its not going to be the right color, or the wrong size motor......then youll just have a car with racing stripes and a body kit....and we know what that means.

Please enjoy my new and improved short signature- Russ

thanks for your time... nice bird russ... i like the color.

all those tbird V6s making crazy horsepower are the supercoupes. come from the factory with a supercharged V6.

Supposeduly, and I say that becuase they're been doing it for probably over a year now, there's a guy on sccoa working with a company to develop a turbo charger kit that utilizes the n/a intake manifold, so it should be relatively easy to adapt the kit to a LX tbird if you want to go that route.

no kidding at all, it went to the junkyard today.....but i got 600 bucks outta it and i kept the cheapy 17s that were on it (not the ones on my website, those i bought) when i bought it for 1000 bucks, so im pretty happy with the outcome, im gonna try to find myself a 96-97 sport or a mark 8.
