Hot Rod kits

i cant ever find these but i know they exist.. they are these kits you can get that turn an MN12 into this like 1940s looking hot rod ?/?

ever seen them or maybe its just this guy who manufacturs them here in Syracuse..,

**** let me know if anyone knows if youve seen these.. because my buddy who air brushes said he can get me a deal on one..

if the company is out of business and it happens often, how will you get missing or damaged parts? How complete is it and is there directions? Good luck

yes thats it.. my friend is like the best air brusher in NY and has lots of rod connections he said he can get me a deal on one..

thanks for the link.. I think they look good with the right stuff.. black would look sweet

Some of them actually did look good. Others.......... well lets just say they are like any other custom car. Depends on how good the taste of the owner/builder is!

They have a couple cougars on there, ones red and one is primer gray.

I would have peter gunn do some simple flames like that on mine, have the car with some lowering springs, Primer black, moon covers, maybe side pipes with cut offs... The 4.6 DOHC with some big cams and headers will roar and this body would look sweet .. I think im going to do it only because Ican get a good deal on it I think it will be one sweet ride. and be able to haul ***

I actually think the rear window on the cougar compliments the rear end better because thats the kind of windows that were in old coupes... Hot rods are sweet.. I think im going to do this.. but first im doing the DOHC swap this summer.

the t-bird looks better because of the rear window angle. the cougar is too strait up and down. i want to buy a t-bird and so that now.

but if you look at an old coupe or a 57 chevy or something the rear window favors the cougar.. those are just 2 bad examples.

the cougar rear window is more accurate for an old coupe..

True. But if you look at the customized "hot rods" of the period, the ones that have been chopped (which was very common for the 49-50 Ford and mercury's) the window of the T-bird is favored. Personal tastes will prevail everytime no matter which way you go!

When I was at the Turkey Run in Daytona in November there were a crapload of those there...the Easyrod people were there too...musta been a dozen of them there...1/3 of them Cougars.

And one of the birds that was 'rodded was a '95 5-spd SC
