Hearlights.. Do they fit??

Hey guys,

Just wondering if I put on a 1996 style front bumper on my 1994 sc, will i be able to keep my existing 94 headlights because I just bought them with the clear corners 6 months ago brand new.. Just wondering if there will be a gap between the 1994 thunderbird and the 1996.

Thanks guys

Never heard of hearlights....

I dont think it would fit, cause there is a gap when 96+ lights are placed on a 94-95. But, it might, i dont know for sure.

You will need the header panel, hood latch lever, headlights and corner lights 96-7. With these alone it will fit with the 94-5 front bumper, you will want to get a new hood also to get rid of the gap with the hood. You can see some pics on my cardomain in my signature. Btw, if you need more info search.

do you just want the bumper from the 96+ or the lights also? just do the 96+ headlight conversion and keep the 94 bumper. as for the new 94 lights just sell them on ebay. i made the same mistake you made. bought practically new headlights then went to 96 lights. so i cleaned the 95 lights and sold them on ebay for more than 90 bucks. not bad for my used headlights. plus its 90 bucks closer to the conversion or whatever.

Yes, you can put the 94-95 lights on the car. The header panel will not have to be switched to change the bumper. If you wanted to go with the correct hood, you would have problems with the hood and lights hitting one another.

What do u mean guys

I don't understand what u mean by saying you can put your 94 headlights on. I have a 94 SC and I like the 96 style xenon front air dam so i am thinkingn about puttting on the 96 style bumper cover. I am just wondering if I have to change the original 94 lights or will the 96 bumper just bolt on and not cause a problem with fitting.

Thanks

well i have 96+ lights on a 94 bumper and it looks like the lights are rubbing towards the center of the bumper. it was a pretty close fit and i know people who have had to sand it down for the lights to fit. so with that said i think if you put the 96+ bumper on your car without touching the lights it might have a slight gap towards the center of the bumper.

old pic btw: 95 lights

see the difference where the center bumper is? yes it will fit, but might have a small gap.

It will just bolt on to my knowlege. The guy on SCCOA that I bought my lights from did it. You will have to say good by to the foglights though. The bumper should just bolt right on, the only place that it attached to the header panel is in between the lights. You should be ok with the swap.

Guys guys guys.. Every time someone mentions a headlight swap, everyone comes in running with their heads cut off about how to do a 96/97 headlight swap. If you actually read his post, what he wants to do is a 96/97 bumper with 94/95 lights.

I wasn't directing at you. I was directing it at everyone who always says how to do a 96/97 light conversion anytime anyone mentions ANYTHING about the front end.

OOPS! Damn, is it Friday yet?

Anyway, I would say yes. If I swapped it the other way, I don't see why not don't it his way.

I know you weren't. I am glad that someone actually cleared that up for them. Thanks.
