Xenon kit fitment...

I am looking at the Xenon front airdam for the 1997... I have alot of pictures, but none are up close showing the fitment to the bumper. I am hoping that it fits pretty tight without modifications. Does the top attatch with 3M tape, or what? I really wanna know the quality while I'm still considering the 97 front end swap.

The fitment looks great on all the cars i see...but how hard is it to get it to sit that tight?

Thanks,
-danimal

did you put the kit on yourself, or did you have a body shop do it?

The question I am asking is how does it hold on to the bumper, and how easy is it to get it to fit as good as yours does?

Thanks,

They come with all the screws and tape. It uses 3M double sided tape. Xenon reccomends cleaning the area where the tape is to be applied with Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) to clean away oils and wax. You can find it at a hardware store. They then reccomend a product called Pro-Bond, they tell you where to get it. The Pro-Bond is to promote adhesion of the 3M tape. It is supposed to be a very easy insall, but I'd just leave it to the pros. You'll pay enough for the kit and to have it painted, pay a little more and have it installed too, thats the cheapest part.

And about the screws, they screw in place of the screws in the fender wells and where the tape goes on the front and rear bumpers also screw down just outside the sill.

Legendary makes the hood, check most wanted parts page. and the lowest point with a xenon and a 1.5" drop is about 1.5".

has anyone had any big scraping problems with that? I'm just looking at the front airdam (guessing that's the lowest part?) it almost seems like it's the same clearance as the sc side skirst from the pics I've seen

With the ground effects, how much can you lower the car w/o grounding out on speedbumps?
