Question Front car quest...

Ok, i have a 95 Cougar, and i would like to change the front of my car to a 96. So what i want to know is in what kinda mess am i going to get into???? What parts do i need to swap, i do know that i need to buy the headlights ( DUH..! ) and i also want to put the clear corners lights. The reason that i would like to do this, it's because i don't like the ground efects for the 95's, and the ones for the 96 are very cool.. So, can i adapt the ground effects from a 96 to my 95???? Or should i just swap everything?? And if i need to swap everything, how much am I looking at??

If your going to swap it all....

hood: $700
bumper: $500-$600
Lights: $250-$300
headlight mount: $50-$75
foam support: $50
hood latch: $25

so finding a donor car is well worth the time.

ouch. Greenbird, are those prices from Ford?

Man that is expensive stuff. check www.car-part.com, and see if you can get a decent front clip. You could even put a tbird front clip on the car, i like it more than the 96 cougar front clip.

Eitherway, you need the bumper, the hood, the headlights, the corners, the hood release hardware, and the headlight mount panel from a 96+

OUCH...!!! No way.. That's alot of money. I was thinking of getting the parts used, except for the hood, but DAMN, i did not know that it was going to cost that much... I'm like , But i will still be looking for other alternatives, and if i can't find any other alternatives, maybe i'll start saving..

those are new OEM prices, but not from ford, and without paint too.

You can get entire front clips for $1000, so don't get to discouraged.

I'm not getting discouraged, the thing is that i don't have $1000 right now , and im also planning of modding my engine... so it's going to be a hell of a task (specially if i don't have money). I do have in mind the painting, etc... But i think i'll try looking at the junk yards for some parts, but i definetively need the hood, the light new.. cause i also want to put a Xenon kit(another $1000 ) Thanx man..
