My Cougar LS with SC Rims

Allright, here's a pic from a week or so ago. It's my car in my parking spot out front. Mind you, I'm only 17, and dont have the luxury of the garage. I was in a hurry and the camera didnt focus right, so I apologize for the quality, but you get the view of it. But after this pic was taken, I began work on it preparing for the paint job i will get. I have sanded the car down, smoothed out some scratches in the trunk (damn kids and their keys), gotten a factory tbird spoiler, gotten sc side skirts, smoothed the hood of chips and a dent that was there, bondoed a little rust on the bottom also. Soon, like the next 3 days, I am putting on rocker panel replacements, finishing up the vinyl deleting on the doors, installing a sc rear bumper, and smoothing it all out for the paint shop. This car will be done within 2 weeks, I guarantee it!!! Pics will be posted soon......stay tuned!!!

Tell me what you think!!!

Kyle

Those look really good on your car. Now all you need is an SC steering wheel

Sounds like a nice project.

Reminds me of the days when i changed the base granny mobile to the SC look a like. Then once I got it all finished I went drag racing and I got introduced as an SC vs. an LX and well the 94 LX spanked me so I had to go buy a SC =)

Sure is fun making these cars looks sweet.

Can't wait to see the finished pictures.

Especially since all early SC wheels were "Left side" style.

Hey Kyle - aside from the crappy pic - I like it .

I guess I'm not the only one making a 'CatBird' this fall, eh? Are you putting on a SC front bumper as well?

The wheels - yep, backwards, but I think they look better with the spokes facing 'forward'. Except that the left side faces backwards :p.

Good luck with the car man,

Kevin.

well, i have all the work done that i needed to fix, like the key marks, a few rust bubbles, and hood. i put the rear bumper on today....looks awesome, except for the yellow (plastic) and black (original color) part. i counted today, and my car has 8 different colors, lol.....maybe it only looks awesome to me because i look at my car and see a finished product. i get the exhaust done tomorrow (resonator replaced with flowmaster, straight pipe back to duals) and then all i need is to put on my new rocker panels and side skirts.....then she gets painted. i'm so excited, wheee!! I will post pics soon of the car and its progress. thanks for all the replies you guys

Kyle

P.S. MercCougarXR7 - no, i am not putting on a front bumper. i would love too, but with my style, i would have to change the hood and head lights also.....too much $$ for me and my 7.25 an hour job

Thanks for the compliment Brandon - but if you were to see her now, you'd call her a POS. At least I do . The front and the back SC bumper covers are on, but I have yet to install the side pieces. Unfortunately - I haven't a digi cam, and the way it sits - it isn't worth a picture. White scratched/damaged SC bumpers on a black car, missing side pieces, 2 Cougar wheels, and 2 LS wheels. Really pathetic looking.

Hey Kyle - looking forward to the pics - sounds like you've got a good plan with it. You may be pleasently surprised to find that you don't need a new hood or lights to install a SC bumper cover. I had to do some minor work to my cover so that the grill fit on the car with the bumper (SC bumper juts upwards, Cougar grill juts downwards), but they go together nicely.

I know what yourtalking about man. I have two jobs. One at night for forty hours. One on the weekend for 9 hours. Also I go to school for 12 credit hours, but you know what credit hours are. 9=11. 12=15. 15=20.
