please don't

You can put it on but be prepared to have people point and laugh. If you decide to put it on, don't forget to paint your car orange and add a big chrome robot sticker to the side of your car.

We are a bunch of detroit (or lorain) metal heads. To most of us, a WING like that looks like something skywalker will be riding through the air on in the next movie.

However, if you feel it looks good TO YOU, get it, just don't be surprized to get these same replies everytime you mention it.

Hey, I resemble that remark. I am painting my bird orange. Well, its going to be more of a pastel orange with light white flames. STOP now before you start the rice chants. I have seen plenty of american cars orange and plenty with flames that are not ricey. Just give it a chance.....you might just like it when its done......

Anyway, don't get the wing man, for the love and respect of your car and dignity. If you really really like it though, there is no stopping your own opinions and if it really makes you happy, go for it. Its your car.

I set a T2 spoiler on the trunk lid of my bird one time and it was the worst thing i had ever seen. Those kinds of spoilers are made for small cars. Ours are way to big to put a big spoiler on

My bro's friend has almost the exact same setup on his Cavalier. My bro has a Cavalier, but him and his friend don't like rice like that. Bro has a DARK metalic green Cavalier, 18"s Konigs, body kit, exhaust, but it's reasonable. His friends' Cavy's are reasonable too, but they all hate orange piece of crap.

No. From the pics in the gallery his mounted on the top of the deck lid and didn't have the gap. The one Kenny brown made bolted to the back of the deck lid and does have the gap.

What is the purpose of the gap and are there any better pics other than the link Bacondoggy provided?

To be honest, I don't know, I'm not a NASCAR engineer.

From an airflow standpoint though, I would imagine there would be enough of a let-off of the downforce due to that gap to not slow the vehicle down too much. Or maybe it's to relieve the pressure so it doesn't bend the decklid or some such.
