Window runs

The last year or so my window runs were starting to rust and crumble, especially where the run meets the door by the handle and at the top of the door. I decided to purchase new ones, and since my car is in for paint, I decided now would be the best time to remove them. Well, it's a fairly involved process including removing the mirror, interior panel, speaker, watershield, then unbolting and removing the glass, then the bolts for the run itself. Now the painter has a free shot at the edge of the door where the trim was. I'm also gonna remove the rear quarter glass for a better paint.

2007 Ford Mustang GT Premium - SOLD March 2014.
2013 Ford Taurus SHO (TUXESHO) Tuxedo Black Bone stock for now.

OK, so where did you get the runs and how much? I just got back from vacation and on the drive home the passenger side window popped out of the track due to the run/track/guide having gotten mushy from rust inside it.

I need new ones. Help!

You can get them from Ford, I got the rear pieces for mine from a wrecker after they rusted out.

I'll let them both go for $50 plus shipping. I have no clue about shipping costs, but I will use whatever mine come in so they should be well protected. Let me know.

Sounds like a deal. I'm going to be offline for the next week starting Saturday due to work. When I get back we can formalize this.

I take it you are still waiting for the new ones to arrive?

My new ones are at the dealership waiting for me. I'll get them next week because my car has just been painted. Send me a PM or reply to this thread when you get back.
