Gold Bird

I bought a set of 96/97 LEDs off Ebay (much brighter!) and the birds are gold instead of chrome. Did these come off a special edition?

it was a dealer installed option. not sure if it's removable or not; but there should be chrome underneath the gold.

Some dealerships had emblems plated but I don't think there was anything from Ford. My car also has/had gold emblems. They need to be redone though

My old Pearl T-Bird had that gold crap. And when the gold started fading away there was no chrome under it. It was just bare. You could either find some chrome ones or just paint them. They won't be chrome, but they will look better than the gold.

I just replaced all the gold peices with chrome peices. Looked much better IMO.

It actually looks pretty good, I think I'll leave it alone, I was just curious. Yeah, I might be interseted in that script. It's amazing how much brighter the LEDs are compared to the 95.
