Anyone done this?

I was looking at the replacement light book today at work. I know the Mercury Gand Marque lights are the same as the 89-90 cougars. But the question is does anyone know if the 95-97 Marque lights will work in the 94 cougar. In the picutres they look tobe the same as the cougar lights. Except the Margue lights have clear plastic and the reflector has the corigated part. The 94 cougar the lens is corigated and the reflector is smooth. I really like the looks of the Marque lights they look so much cleaner the the Cougar lights. So If any knows if this will work or not let me know. I got the idea from the T-bird light upgrade that is posted on this site.

You have to worry about that hood gap though. You'd be better off just going with a 96/97 hood, header panel and headlights. Looks much cleaner and no hood gap.

Plus, it's not plug and play, you have to dremel a little here and there. Does save a lot of money...but how much is that hood gap and the corners not matching up worth?
