Since my last post in this thread (#13) I've done a couple more, both on my '95 doors. I bought a bag of like 30 nylon bushings or solid "biscuits" off ebay cheap. I know steel would work, but then the gear teeth take the hit maybe?
I did the same; I bought a rod of unfilled 3/8"dia nylon, and cut to length.
Steel is going to break something, and I can replace a lot of $0.22 biscuits for the price of a low quality motor.
For the searchers:
Just remember to relube Everything (Motor cavity, tracks, linkages, everything except the window)
with white grease, at least. Other greases are better.
WD40 is a solvent to wash out old grease, you must put something back. Or it will freeze together forever in a few months.
