JBA Headers

Up for sale is a set of used JBA stainless steel headers part #1626S. They are 3 years old, have 24,000 miles on the clock and will fit Thunderbird/ Cougar 4.6L -94-97. I have already cleaned them up and they look real nice still. Right now they are at Summit for $579 new but I paid $530 3 years ago. The male to male egr tube connection seems to be froze to the header but that is not a problem. The male end of it that connects to the female egr connection needs a die run on it to clean up the threads a bit but then again it will work regardless. I will also throw in the original gaskets and a set of reusable copper gaskets. It is best to use new header bolts. Do not confuse these with that knock off e-bay stuff. I have had both in my hands at the same time and I can tell you it is an insult to JBA to be compared to the piece of $130 doo doo that is being sold as headers on e-bay. $230 dollars and I will ship them anywhere in the lower 48 states. PM me if you are interested. Ed

Pulled the engine out to do the PI swap. Put the Kooks on. Installing the engine with Kooks on is not a back yard barbeque job. It takes every trick in the book along with a lift, 1-1/2 hours of time of 3 people that know what they are doing, and a big long screwdriver. But when the top two top engine to bell housing bolts are finally secure, the car gets jacked up and then the big screwdriver moves the engine to drop the motor mounts onto the frame, then and only then will the beer flow. I would also like to say that I would not sell anyone on this site something I would not put on my own car. At the same time I will not give it away. I realize the young guys don't have the financial resources but I still refuse to give it away. It takes blood and guts. If you are missing one or the other there is no need to apply.

Bump...

FYI...it took me and ZackG less than an hour to drop his engine in with the Kooks bolted on. All we did was take the bolt out of the steering shaft and it pretty much fell into place.
