PI heads $225 + shipping

1. Why am I selling: I'm going with ported PI heads
2. How many miles: I put on about 30k, plus they had 30k when i got them, i believe...so thats about 60k
3. Why there a missing freeze plug (not included) in the back of one head: I was using the crackpipe method for the driver's side head cylinder cooling mod
4. what the black stuff is (for the newbs): normal carbon build-up that I was not able to remove--this is due to running EGR through the engine, so its normal
5. why there are sockethead set-screws missing from the heads in the pics: i took them out when i was cleaning degreasing them, and they will be put back in with permatex hi-temp thread sealer
6. why there are no valves/springs/seals/cam caps/bolts in the heads: i took them out for cleaning. and they will be put back.....the stock seals are included, or i can put in better aftermarket seals for a little more
7. lash adjusters and followers will be included.

O.K., I'm kind of mechanically inclined, as I've done a lot of work on my cars before, but I've never delved into internal engine work before so I know nothing about doing something like taking apart and putting back together cylinder heads on a 4.6 liter V-8 (my dad knows all about this stuff, so he could help me). Having said that, however, I am interested in possibly buying these heads for my '97 T-Bird. My 2 questions are:

1. What would I need to do to these heads after I received them from you in order to install them on my engine? I would, of course, also be installing a PI intake, too!

2. My cams have 147,000 miles on them - would you recommend anything be done to them before using them with these heads (they don't come with cams, right)?

3. After installing them and a PI-intake, could anything be done to NOT have to use premium fuel ( a tune, perhaps)? I'm not looking to have a race car, just some improved throttle response.

Thanks,

Dennis
