Sorry, been away from the TCCoA forums for about 8 years since I sold my Bird. Honest mistake. Instead of publically stating my mistake, you could've just sent me a nice PM telling me: "Hey dude, you made a mistake & posted on the wrong place"

Sorry, I didn't mean to insult you, I was mainly doing it in hopes that a moderator would notice and move it to the Wanted section for you. I could have sent you a PM and then get on here and say "Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while, could someone move this for me" or I could have done what I did in hopes to speed up the process, but apparently it didn't work. I seriously was not trying to point out your mistake, it's not like it would have gone unnoticed if I hadn't said anything. It would be like posting something about a super coupe in the 3.8L forum, or something about the exhaust in the exterior forum. It's understand able, but it would help you out if it were in the right section.

That got a bit winded. I just wanted to make sure you got my reasoning. Hopefully you find some nice rims. The ones on the Mark look nice. but I do like the 5 spokes like what GODSPEED has. I myself am passively looking for rims, mainly Saleen, or I think it'd be cool to try some Volvo R series rims, but you'd need a spacer for those.

Do you have a style of rim in mind?

Have you seen this website?
http://www.thecustomwheelshop.com/

You can get Cobras and Saleens and some others in the 5x4.25 pattern.

Unless you are looking for used rims specifically to save money (that's what I'm doing).

Edit:
I just read here your having suspension problems
Best of luck, I've had suspension problems with my car for a while. I understand. Just when you think you are finally able to buy your next mod or upgrade, something else needs the money.

Dude, no problem, thanks for clearing it up. I used to be an avid TCCoA user back in the day but I sold all of my Birds, the last one sold in November 2003. I swore I wouldn't log in here again unless I had an MN-12. Well, not quite a Bird but close enough. The Lincoln Mark VIII is as fun as the Bird but with more power but a bit more expensive to maintain. Gotta re-do the interior & even though the air ride bagged suspension is fine, it needs some fine tunning as is looses air due to an electrical malfunction & dude, to answer your question.... lol... YES! I'm looking for cheap/used rims. Prefereably used Cobra or nice 5 spoke wheels. Even if they are chipped, I dont care, I'll paint them black.

What color is your Mark, is it an LSC? I would love to ditch my V6 Bird for an LSC if I ever see one around here for a decent price.

I can see why you want different rims. Are you going to leave the silver outline though on the new ones if you get some? Personally I'm not a fan, but it's your car. It accents the chrome around the windows I guess you could say.

Well I'm hoping that whatever rims I get I don't have to paint. Those rims are the original Lincoln wheels, the former owner painted the center cap in black so instead of painting it back to silver like the rest of the wheel I decided to paint the wheels black leaving the silver lip. I don't know yet what rims I'll end up with. I've been surfing the Volvo forums looking at some Volvo R wheels. They are 5x4.25 just like ours & they are NICE! Let's see what happens!

THOSE ARE WHAT I'M LOOKING AT! You'll probably need spacers, offset is 38mm for the 17" and 44mm for 18" I believe. I have a thread in the Wheels/Tires section about the Volvo R rims. I'm trying to get someone to photoshop them onto my car.

Not to be rude, but I'd let the person who started this WTB thread respond to an offer first, then if he says no and your interested, then ask for yourself. Unless you were asking to have pics and price posted for UltimateSVT, then that's nice.

I would just hate to see someone post a WTB thing for rims, and then have someone respond with ones he likes, only to see someone used his thread to buy the rims he wanted. I didn't mean to call you out or anything, just wanted to keep things fair.

+1 on that one. Thanks Davis, I'm an avid greenhulk.net forum user since my #1 hobby is my waverunner. Everyone there respects someone's WTB thread. I've seen ppl get booted for trying to take advantage of someone's good price & snatching it. Nothing against Keith, I can guarantee he's as desperate as I am. Sucks when these rims are so hard to find or... well, findable (Does that word exist? lol) but expensive as the car itself!

Hey, hey, hey... what you do with rims at home is none of our business. No wonder you wanted pictures! Just kidding man, no biggie! I've been searching high & low, google, yahoo, ebay, craigslist, bing.com... you name it. I've given up. I'll wait to see if these GT's are available, I haven't heard from him.

Bro, feels weird being back on this site after a good 7 years. What sucks though is that I'm referred to as a "Newbie" again by the site since all old threads are gone. Go figure, lol... Dude, just FYI, the Homestead dude has resuscitated. He's taking apart my exhaust today. Let me know what afternoon you are off & we'll head his way! By the way, got myself a set of Cobra wheels in fair shape. Gonna get them painted gunmetal grey as soon as I recieve them! See ya soon bro.
