What kind of vehicle(s) are the electronic day/night mirrors out of? A Thunderbird/Cougar?

Thanks,

Dennis

The ones I have left are the tbird older ones which have a motor in them. They also have the headlight sensor dimmer.
I do have one newer electonic dimmer from a lincoln it has a compass as well. Have to get $20 shipped for this one.

What do you meant "they have a motor in them"? What does the motor do?

Can you send me pics of them and the Lincoln one? I'm very interested in one of them, depending on what they look like.

Thanks,

Dennis

the older technology used a small electric motor to tilt the mirror thus effectively dimming. Like the manual on tilts the mirror for the dim. But this one uses an small electric motort to achive that. The early mn12 and fox body cars used these during the 80's and before. The newer ones use electric polarization to do the same thing w/o a motor.
